I have always loved food but the real impetus for becoming
a nutritionist came from my own experience of poor health
in my early twenties. This lead me to see a nutritional
therapist who helped me to make dietary and lifestyle
changes which resulted in the disappearance of a condition
I had been told would be lifelong. After
four years of study at the renowned Institute of Optimum
Nutrition in London (www.ion.ac.uk) I qualified as a nutritional
therapist. I am a full member of the British Association
for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) which
imposes a strict Code of Ethics and Practice on its members.
Furthermore, I am in the process of being listed on the
register of practitioners held by the Nutritional Therapy
Council, the body which regulates the nutritional therapy
profession.
My approach is to meet with you
and understand your needs through careful questioning
and research. I then develop a unique eating and lifestyle
programme just for you. I am very much a realist and appreciate
that most of us lead busy lives which are often shaped
by deeply rooted habits. I fully understand the need to
make achieving optimum health a very do-able and enjoyable
experience with plenty of practical advice, there is nothing
faddy or regimented about my approach and I offer full
support along the way to enable you to achieve your goals
and take control of your health. |
